India vs Afghanistan, Match Prediction

After winning an 89 run (DLS method) last game against Pakistan, India must be confident and will face Southampton tomorrow. The Indians would be accustomed to the Rose Bowl pitch as six wickets beat South Africa here. On the other hand, the Afghans still have to win a championship match, losing all five matches.

Weather Report

The climate for today has no downpour prediction. Clouds are going to be there, but by no means will it be much of a problem. The sun is going to be out most of the day. The temperature ranges from 16 to 19 degrees Celsius. With the figures in the 50s, the humidity will not be strong.
Pitch Report

Southampton's pitch was a good one to beat and bowlers will have to operate out of their skins with the sun out. But the deck has provided the pacers with pace and bounce, and thus making inroads with the new leather becomes much more important. The strip becomes batting-friendly as the play goes on and, after winning the match, teams should first choose to play.

Playing Combinations

India

India is probable to take Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mohammed Shami. Because of a hamstring injury he developed in the previous match, the latter won't be component of the game. KL Rahul did an outstanding job as opposed to Pakistan, opening the batting and the 26-year-old will want to rub under his belt again. Among the rides are also Skipper Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Once again, Hardik Pandya can be promoted if the Men in Blue fly off. There's also going to be a part for MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav to perform, the squad will want them to go and get some rides under the belt. During the net-session, Vijay Shankar was struck on the toe, but he is supposed to be ready. In the earlier game, Kuldeep Yadav received his rhythm back and his position is going to be highly essential. Jasprit Bumrah also collected wickets.

Probable XI

KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (C), Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni, Vijay Shankar, Kedar Jadhav, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah

Afghanistan

Hazratullah Zazai, who didn't perform the last match, may be brought by the Afghans. In that scenario, Noor Ali Zadran, who had a duck last time around, may be down the axis. Skipper Gulbadin introduced himself to the order and as he finished 37 out of 28, it went well for him. The captain also had three votes, though they arrived as the batsmen looked to go large in the overs of death.

Rahmat Shah was among the races after a few mistakes. Hashmatullah Shahidi, having averaged 165 with a few half-centuries, was the highest batsman of Afghans. Mujeeb Ur Rahman didn't pick up a wicket against the Brits, but his precision didn't let the batters get away. Rashid Khan would love to park outside the last game's disappointment and blazing out all the guns.
Probable XI

Hazratullah Zazai, Gulbadin Naib (C), Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Asghar Afghan, Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Rashid Khan, Ikram Ali Khil (wk), Dawlat Zadran, Mujeeb Ur Rahman
