Cricket World Cup 2019
final between England and New Zealand will take place on 14th July at the
iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. This is the 5th time Lord's will host
the Cricket World Cup Final, the maximum of any ground. Lord’s also hosted World
Cup in 1975, as well as the finals in 1979, 1983, 1999.
It will be England's
fourth final and New Zealand's 2nd - neither have won the tournament.
Australia is the
current champions and successful team in the tournament’s 44-year history, with
five wins.
Team India has been
knocked out of the ICC World Cup 2019 after their loss to New Zealand. New
Zealand defeated India through 18 runs within the first semi-final of World Cup
2019 on 10th July. The match had at first started on its scheduled date on 9th
July but the play becomes called off for the day because of rain and driven to
the reserve day on 10th July.
New Zealand won the semifinal against India. Chasing 240 for a win and spot in the finals of the
world cup 2019.
England stormed into
the World Cup final with an 8-wicket victory over Australia at Edgbaston on
Thursday.
England have featured
in all 11 Cricket World Cups, They have lost in 3 finals (1979, 1987 and 1992)
Sunday can be England’s
first appearance in the 50-over World Cup final considering that 1992 when they
finished runners up after dropping to Pakistan, while Kane Williamson and Co
can be making their 2nd consecutive appearance in the clash.
